ABOUT Secret Gardening Society
Welcome! I’m Liesell, and I started the Secret Gardening Society because I believe the key to growing in any climate, whether it’s your garden or your soul, is learning to work with God’s design, not against it. There’s a divine plan in creation, and when you align with it, even the harshest soil can produce abundance.
Living at 9,600 feet in the Colorado mountains taught me that you don’t need perfect conditions, endless time, or a big budget to grow your own food. You just need the right knowledge and the right plants for where you are. My goal is to share those keys so you can thrive, no matter how extreme your environment.
But this “secret” goes deeper than gardening. It’s about cultivating hope, resilience, and faith. Because as we learn to work with God’s design, He also works within us, turning hard ground into something that grows.

CREated for freedom
Knowing how to grow your own food isn’t just a hobby, it’s freedom. When you can provide for your family, you’re no longer tied to the corporate food system or fragile supply chains. You’re living in the rhythm God designed – seed, time, and harvest – His provision straight from the ground.
I believe food is medicine. When it’s grown the way God intended, it strengthens your body, clears your mind, and fuels the purpose He’s called you to. Learning these skills isn’t just about survival, it’s about stewardship, wisdom, and the peace that comes from knowing He’s already provided everything we need.

WHAT YOU’ll LEARN
Inside the Secret Gardening Society, you’ll learn how to grow real food, even in extreme conditions. I’ll show you which crops perform best in cold or short-season climates, how to read your growing zone, and how to design a garden that actually meets your family’s annual calorie needs.
You’ll discover practical systems for knowing what to grow, how much to grow, and how to align your plan with nature’s design – using the right cultivars, timing, and layout to get the most from your land. Whether you’re in the mountains, the plains, or a tough northern climate, you’ll find clear, actionable steps that work where you are.
The goal is simple: help you grow more food, waste less effort, and build the kind of self-reliance that brings peace of mind, no matter what’s happening in the world.
